The Copyright Law is a set of rights that granted to the author or the creator of an original piece of work. The copyright law doesn't protect ideas it just protects the author's expression of their ideas. The British Statute of Anne was the first act to protect the rights of authors. The purpose of copyright is to return value to creators so they can feel a sense of accomplishment and to provide access to content for the public.
